Bricks and Mortar Contractors Ltd is a privately owned family run business which was established in the year 2000 and is headed up by Mr Ernie Savidge.
Ernie has been in the construction industry since he started his apprenticeship in 1975 and went on to gain his City and Guilds qualifications. He is vastly experienced in all types of building work and is particularly knowledgeable in structural alterations, chimney building and removal.
Bricks and Mortar specialises in extending, converting and renovating various buildings and projects for both domestic and commercial clients. The majority of our work is through word of mouth and recommendations from existing customers over the years.
We are able to liaise with your own design consultants and structural engineers or our recommended architects and engineers. We can offer advice on planning matters and regularly work closely with Building Control Authorities.
We have a highly experienced, knowledgeable and friendly team of people with a variety of skills. Our team includes groundworkers, bricklayers, roof carpenters, roofers, carpenters, dry liners/plasterers, joiners, electricians, plumbers, heating engineers, tilers, painters and decorators who all work together to take your project from conception to completion. We also have a number of specialist contractors who have worked with us for a number of years allowing us to incorporate the following within projects if required: liquid floor screed, scaffolding, flat roofs, garage doors, bi-fold doors, windows and doors (PVC and aluminium), driveways and patios, structural steel fabrication and piling.
